I’ll start with the positives. The menu has a good variety and we ordered quite a lot for the price. The total came to €23, which included the food, delivery fee and service fee, so value-wise it wasn’t bad at all. Delivery was also fairly fast, which I appreciated.

However, once the food arrived, things went downhill. As soon as we opened the bag, there was a strange smell that immediately put me off. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled and then deep-fried — the only flavour came from the crispy skin, while the meat itself was very soft and completely bland. It just wasn’t nice.

The chips were skinny chips, which isn’t my preference, but that wasn’t stated anywhere on the menu. I think there should be a choice. On top of that, the chips had a weird smell too, and the garlic on them tasted nothing like garlic chips from other takeaways around Monaghan. It had a strange, unpleasant taste.

Even the vinegar was off — I know vinegar is meant to be strong, but this didn’t smell or taste like normal vinegar at all, and it just wasn’t good.

Honestly, you do get a good variety of choices on the menu, with affordable prices and fast delivery. But overall, it was disappointing. This was my first impression of this takeaway, and I feel like it could do a lot better. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it and would be cautious when ordering.
